Volunteer Now

The volunteers at MEND are the lifeblood of the agency. In 2014, nearly than 5000 volunteers gave upwards of 193,000 hours of their time, equivalent to more than 106 full-time workers.

MEND is committed to remaining a volunteer-driven organization, so that its donations and income go directly to the needy recipients. As a result, administrative and fundraising costs are less than 6% of MEND’s total revenue. This is possible only through the assistance of the dedicated volunteers who give so freely of themselves to MEND.

Volunteer Registration Process

To volunteer at MEND, please visit the MEND Center reception desk in person to complete the volunteer application form and provide an ID. Alternatively, you may download an application form, fill it out, and return it with a digital copy of your ID by email. After the initial paperwork is complete, you will be scheduled for a volunteer orientation. Orientations are offered three times per month. English and Spanish dates are available.

PLEASE NOTE: Application and ID must be provided before you can attend an orientation session. Orientation is by appointment only.
