Over 30 years ago, Steve was approached by a small organization named MEND to use his industrial building space to prepare Christmas baskets for families in need. After witnessing volunteers create an assembly line and efficiently assemble dozens of baskets, Steve was impressed by the organizations level of professionalism. Without him opening his doors to MEND, the Christmas program would not have happened that year. In 1992, Steve was invited to join the MEND Board of Directors to further help the community we serve. “I was on a couple of other board of directors, but neither compared to MEND's mission. I love the challenges the board had to solve on a continual basis. I am hoping that I am making a small difference,” Steve shared. We are thankful for Steve’s incredibly generous support, volunteerism, and commitment to helping families throughout the Valley.
