MEND Legacy Society

About the MEND Legacy Society

After providing for yourself and your loved ones, would you be interested in helping MEND’s future clients break the bonds of poverty and lowering your taxes at the same time?

Planned giving can help you do that and more. MEND’s Legacy Society recognizes donors who have provided for MEND with a planned gift of any size.

You are invited to join the Legacy Society and create your own personal legacy that reflects your history, your values, and your dreams for all people to be self-reliant, caring contributors to our society.

Here are two easy ways to include MEND in your plans:

A gift to MEND in your will costs nothing during your lifetime

Would you like a secure source of income? Consider a charitable gift annuity to benefit MEND.

  • MEND pays you a fixed income for life. Depending on your age, the income can be higher than bank CD rates.
  • A portion of this income may be tax-free, and you will receive a charitable deduction for your gift.

Please call (818) 686-7353 or email gro.y1603498029trevo1603498029pDNEM1603498029@eviG1603498029 for more information. And, if you have already provided for MEND through a planned gift, or intend to do so, please let us know by downloading and filling out this letter of intent. Thank you!

A website cannot tell you everything you need to know about estate planning and which methods would be best for you and your family.  The Rewards of Planned Giving

Judy B. Founding Legacy Society Member

MEND founding Legacy Society member Judy B. of Sunland explains the benefits of planned giving:

“Having seen its impact on families with my own eyes as a volunteer, I truly believe in MEND’s work. I went to high school with Ed Rose, one of the MEND founders, and am amazed at what he and thousands of volunteers have accomplished. When you visit the MEND facilities you can see for yourself the many important services offered to an average of 37,000 people every month to help them get back on their feet. MEND is cost effective and is doing the work I care about. Joining MEND’s Legacy Society was easy and allows me to keep helping far into the future.”
