Volunteer Spotlight: Irma

Irma has been volunteering with MEND for over 9 years! She first heard about MEND through her fellow neighbors who shared what we do for the community in need. Irma wanted to do something other than sit at home, so she decided to come to volunteer to help people who are struggling. “Se siente como familia (it feels like a family),” She shares with a smile as she starts to add fresh produce to bags for food distribution. Prior to helping in the food bank every week, she assisted the clothing department. Her passion for volunteering continues to grow every day she comes to MEND. We are thankful for all her time and the contributions she has made to MEND over the years.
